Survey Crew Chief
Position Summary:
Olsson is looking for a Survey Crew/Party Chief in Overland Park, KS. In this role, you will engage in diverse survey tasks across various projects, including construction staking, boundary surveys, topography surveys, and ALTA surveys. Working under the guidance of our professional land survey manager, you will apply your comprehensive understanding of field concepts, practices, and procedures to contribute to the success of the team. This role also offers the opportunity to engage in project management responsibilities including project research, boundary calculations, and collaborate on project planning and coordination, enhancing your skills while ensuring the quality and precision of survey activities. Requirements include: 4 years of experience working with a licensed surveyor, experience with construction staking, boundary surveys, topography surveys, and ALTA surveys in preferred, valid drives license with a good driving history required.

Engineering Tech Surveyor
Position Summary:
Under the administrative supervision of the Assistant County Engineer, the Engineering Technician-Surveyor acts as the survey party chief, construction project manager, assistant to the office/field engineer and a liaison to the Townships and property owners. Responsibilities include performing, supervising and monitoring all aspects of surveying work associated with public works projects, ensuring accurate and precise data for surveying/engineering calculations and computer aided design drawings and coordinating, managing and inspecting construction projects along with other engineering division personnel. Field Survey Project Manager (Land Surveyor II)
Job Description: This Land Surveyor II position is under the Bureau of Right of Way and covers the full State of Kansas. This position supervises the preliminary survey activities for the Bureau of Right of Way and manages the internal resources, along with coordination of consultant survey resources utilized by the Bureau.
The Land Surveyor is responsible for locating, establishing, and/or relocating section corners, property corners and KDOT right of way, reviewing deeds and plans relative to project site, alignment recovery and establishment, vertical control recovery and benchmark establishment. This position also obtains elevations and topographic information, makes on site project inspections of survey operations to review all operations and trains appropriate District personnel in surveying and basic mathematics.
